Welcome to The DTES Emergency Supply Hub

The DTES Emergency Supply Hub strengthens food security, community resilience, and disaster readiness for Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

We serve low-income, under-represented, and street-entrenched populations by redistributing essential goods, supporting frontline organizations, and closing the gap between surplus and community need. Our mission is rooted in dignity, nutrition, harm reduction, and zero-waste values.

What the DTES Hub Offers

  • Food Redistribution: Fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable foods for nonprofits, shelters, hampers and community meal programs
  • Emergency Supplies: Weather gear, PPE, first-aid basics, and hydration supplies
  • Non-Food Essentials: Toiletries, hygiene products, household basics, and harm-reduction supports
  • Community & Agency Support: Centralized pickup location for organizations serving vulnerable populations
  • Zero-Waste Redistribution: Connecting surplus goods from businesses to frontline organizations
  • Disaster Response Coordination: Rapid support during climate-related and community emergencies
